Oh Daddy, my Daddy
how I long to hold you.
I hear your voice call out to me
with every drop of rain.
Oh Daddy, my Daddy
The longing I have to hold you near

To hold your hand and walk with you
down lifes many paths.
The good ones and the bad ones
be they long or bumpy,
to never let go again.
Being with you is a lifetime of joy
for anyone indeed.
But for me it's not so much the want,
as it is the need.
