Oh, How Much He Cares for You and Me

Jean Davis
The coolest breeze on a hot Summer day
Refreshing as it can be
Cannot compare to the feeling I get
When I think of how much Jesus cares for me.
He took upon Him the sins of the world, including all mankind.
When they brought Him before the court long ago, not a crime could they find.
Even so , they convicted Him and sentenced Him to die.
Little did they know it was His Father's plan, but not in the grave to lie.
They hung Him on a cross where He breathed His last breath then sealed Him in the tomb; confident that He had died.
Three days passed and it was time.
Jesus arose and the tomb was opened wide.
The Women had come to annoint His body as was the custom of that day.
They had no Idea what had happened when they found the stone rolled away.
Then Jesus revealed Himself to tell them that His Father's promise had been fulfilled.
That may have happened thousands of years ago but we have the same God and Saviour and that promise holds true, still.
No longer does blood have to be shed each year as atonement for any sin.
Jesus' blood paid it all and gave all who would believe on Him the right to enter in.
