If you ever go sightseeing in Alaska, you should know that is illegal in the state to view a moose from an airplane. That is only one of the strange Alaska laws. Those in charge in the state must love the animal, or think about it a lot, because it is also a crime in Alaska to push a moose out a moving airplane. In the city of Fairbanks, it is illegal to give alcohol to a moose.

It is legal to shoot a bear with a gun in Alaska. Another strange Alaska law is that is illegal to wake a bear, however, for the purpose of taking its picture.

According to another strange Alaska law, emergencies must be held to a minimum. They are to exist rarely. The law does not specify how one can control emergencies.

Many cities in Alaska have their own strange laws.

In Anchorage, it is illegal to put your dog in the back of your truck. The law says you may not carry animals on the outside of your vehicle. Carrying animals in this matter is allowed only if the outside area is enclosed and tail walls at least 46 inches high. It is also illegal in the city to throw a grenade. It is also illegal in the city to ride in a trailer when it is moving.

In Haines, you had better have your permit with you, if you want to carry a concealed slingshot. In the city it is also illegal to break the law, any law.

In Juneau, it is illegal to groom dogs. You cannot take your dog into a barber shop or beauty parlor, even if the establishment caters to dogs. The law specifically bars the owner of a dog from taking his pet into an establishment where food for human consumption is sold, processed, or stored, or to enter into barber shops or establishments for beauty culture or hairdressing.

Also in the city of Juneau, developers who build on land in such a way that they will preserve scenic vistas from public places may be awarded bonus points. The law, however, does, not specify what the bonus points are or how those who receive them may use them.

In Soldotna, make sure you do not allow an attractive nuisance to continue.

Don't let your children carry a slingshot or BB gun in Nome. They will be breaking one strange Alaska law if they do. The law also prohibits air guns, and bow and arrows. The law does not prohibit using those devices in authorized locations, however.
