In Fairview High School's most noteworthy game of that year, Radcliff passed for 679 yards in a game against undefeated Aversville High of Defiance, Ohio. Radcliff's yardage in this game broke a state record of 602 yards, which was formerly held by Fairview High School alum Kirk Jesse. During the record-breaking game against Aversville High School, Radcliff also completed 35 of 56 passes, nine of which led to touchdowns.
During his junior year, Ryan Radcliff received Honorable Mention All-Ohio status in consideration for the ONN/Ohio High All-Ohio football team.
Many football recruiting sites on the internet have ranked Ryan Radcliff in the top 250 high school quarterbacks from the class of 2008. Radcliff has also been regarded as one of the most talented high school football quarterbacks in his class for the state of Ohio.
