Background statistics on Zack Stoudt
Zack Stoudt, a pro-style quarterback from Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio is a rising senior scheduled to graduate in 2008 and start his college football career later that year.
The son of former Pittsburgh Steeler quarterback Cliff Stoudt, Zack Stoudt stands 6-foot-5 inches tall and weights 215 pounds. Stoudt is capable of running the 40-yard dash in 4.85 seconds, can bench press a maximum of 255 pounds, and can shuttle in 4.4 seconds. Stout is also a solid student, carrying a 3.1 grade point average at the end of his junior year of high school.
Zack Stoudt's high school football career
Some have speculated that Stoudt needs more of an opportunity to show off the extent of his talent on the football field. During his junior year of high school, Zack Stoudt was often competing against quarterback Zak Kristan for play time. Also setting Stoudt back was a torn MCL, which put him on the bench for most of his junior year football season. After his injury healed, Stoudt showed amazing success, passing for 380 yards and completing 40 of 60 passes.
Zack Stoudt thanks his father for leading him to such success on the football field. Zack has stated that his father works with him of his throws and that they watch and analyze videos together.
Prospects for college football
Many colleges have already shown an interest in recruiting Zac Stoudt for the fall 2008 semester, including Pittsburgh, Alabama, Louisville, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Miami, and Michigan. He has already received an offer from class I-AA Gardner Webb .
Some have compared Zack Stoudt's talent to Brady Quinn, who is a Coffman High School alum. Michigan quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler even visted Stoudt's school to survey his on-field talent.
During the summer of 2007, Stoudt plans to attend camp at Ohio State, Tennessee, Louisville, Alabama, Michigan, and Notre Dame. Previously, Stoudt has participated in the Cleveland Browns Elite Skills Camp and the Scout.com Combine, which is held in Pittsburgh.
