Torieal Gibson is going into his senior season at the Glenville Academic Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. This wide receiver his five-feet and eight-inches and weighs in at 160 pounds. He runs the forty in 4.56 seconds, the shuttle in 4.25 seconds, and 12 passes last season. His grade-point average at Glenville is 3.4, and he is also a standout basketball player. Rivals.com gives him a two-star ranking out of five, and a 5.1 rating out of a possible 6.1.

The Ted Ginn Bus Tour
Gibson has quickness, speed, and good hands, which he demonstrated when he went on the two-week Ted Ginn Bus Tour in June. Ginn is the head football coach at Glennville, and each summer he takes about 50 recruits out to look at schools and attend camps. At the Kent State camp he attended on the tour, he performed well. He said, "Kent State and Akron said they liked me a lot but they have to look at my films." He is hoping his performance on the bus tour will earn him more scholarship offers from around the state. The Ginn tour also allowed Torieal Gibson to prove himself to the coaching staffs at Cincinnati, Indiana, Miami (Ohio), and Bowling Green.

Looking for offers
His college choices of interest include Iowa, Indian, Ohio State, Purdue, Akron, and Kent. He has received one offer from Ball State, but made no visits overall to campuses. He told Rivals.com that besides Ball State, "other schools have been talking to me a lot. Ball State offered me as a cornerback. I'd prefer receiver but wherever I can fit in, that's where I'll play." Torieal Gibson is also partial to Iowa because many of his former high school teammates are there, and he feels his expectations for Ohio State are limited to defensive back because "they have too many receivers." In addition, he has said that he liked Marshall's program a lot.

Fall 2007
Torieal Gibson hopes to improve his footwork for the upcoming season, and he is focusing more on the fall than on recruiting right now. He wants to get noticed by larger schools this season in addition to the M.A.C. programs that he has already been able to court. "Last year I didn't get to catch many balls, but I did return a lot of punts. I should be able to have a good year," the wide receiver said.
