There are 57 campgrounds available at Ohio State Parks. Pets on a leash are welcome in all of them. It is also permissible to bring your beloved pet to most day use areas. Exceptions are beaches, visitor centers and most lodges.
One of the nicest things about Ohio State Parks is that most do not charge entrance fees. No entrance fees helps to make it more affordable for families who want to spend the day having fun.
Plus, all of the Ohio State Parks offer picnic areas. Most of these come equipped with grills. Kids will enjoy visiting because some parks offer scheduled activities and interpretive programs just for them.

This beautiful Ohio State Parks offers a ton of activities that just about everyone can enjoy. There is a large conference center and resort right on the lake. Other activities include cabins, 89 camping sites, laundry, pet camping, volleyball, basketball, boating, picnicking, hiking, swimming, hunting and fishing.
If this isn't enough to do there is a golf course on the property. There's lots more fun to be had in the nearby town.
Malabar Farm State Park

This Ohio State Park was the vision of Louis Bromfield. He was a Pulitzer Prize winning author. Everything at the farm is preserved to the 1956 era. Tours of the mansion are offered year round. There is also hiking, picnicking, camping, fishing and natural scenic beauty with plenty of photographic opportunities.

Tucked away in the Scioto Trail State Forest is an undisturbed oasis waiting to be discovered by you. This remote Ohio State Park offers visitors the chance to get back to nature through hiking, biking and spectacular scenery.
Visitors can also camp at the campground, go boating, swimming, fishing, hunting and picnicking. There are even basketball courts, horseshoe pits and a playground for the kids. If you forgot to bring your horseshoes don't worry. This state park will loan them (or other sporting equipment) to you. Just ask.

Besides great camping opportunities this Ohio State Park offers scenic beauty and soothes your soul. Activities here include; picnic tables, fire rings, playground, basketball hoop, sporting equipment loaners, fly-in camping, a boat launch, fishing and hunting, picnicking photographic opportunities and a deep history.
This Ohio State Park was named for the first settlers in the area, the Wolf family.
There are more great parks to choose from. Some have easy interstate access and others are off of the beaten track. All provide the chance to escape from daily stress and unwind for a while.
