Oh yes, you read that right. A record gain when everybody else is gasping for air and peddling like crazy to keep from drowning. The big oil companies, despite a drop of seventy percent in the price of a barrel of oil, still posted record profits. 45.2 billion dollars worth of profit, breakng all previous records.
Is anyone out there thinking we can sit back now that gasoline prices have dropped and not be as diligent about pursuing alternative and/or green technology? Better milage vehicles? Any and all methods that will get us back to using our own people and resources to fuel our country and economy?
If you do think that we don't have to be diligent about changing our ways just go back and wade through that first paragraph again. Big oil is getting richer and richer. The only way to change the flow of money is to get behind the idea of improving our alternative and green techonolgies. Doing so will create more jobs here in the USA. And bring more money into our coffers instead of bleeding it out.
