Oil of Olay Touch of Sun Body Lotion: Great for a Touch of Color

Mary Wensing Dvorachek
Olay Touch of Sun Body Lotion - I tried Oil Of Olay Touch Of Sun Body Lotion this summer. It definitely gives my skin a nice glow, but being over 50 and with the change of life, my face gets very oily. I love the product but, it only adds to the oil problem on my face. It does however help with the dryness of my arms and legs.

So I definitely would give it 4 out of 5 stars, as the product actually does work for dry skin.

I am very fair skinned so I only need a drop or two to get the color level that I need.

I like it that is has UV protection in it. It really helped eliminate getting sunburned. The lotion goes on nice and smooth, it has an oily feel to it, but once rubbed in evenly the oily feeling goes away on my arms and legs. I have to make sure my face is completely washed and dried before I put any on my face. I only use a drop or 2 depending on what I plan on doing. I like it especially if I have a wedding or somewhere important to go, cause it gives me a healthy glow, instead of looking so pale.

I put what I need in the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together to warm up the lotion, then I apply it evenly and rub it in good. It says if you are looking for a deeper color to add more. For me that was not necessary as just a little gave me enough color and coverage.

Make sure you wash your hands good after using the lotion.

Active Ingredients - Octocrylene (8%), Octisalate (4%), Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (2%)

Inactive Ingredients - Water, Glycerin, Stearyl Alcohol, Dihydroxyacetone, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polyethylene, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyl Dimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Squalane, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Fragrance, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Dimethiconol, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Disodium EDTA

The cost is around $15.00 for 2.5 fluid ounces.

For some that might be expensive, but for me it will last a long time, as I do not use that much at once.

There are warning to use only externally. Avoid getting in your eyes, if that should happen, flush your eyes with water. If your skin should become irritated or you get a rash stop using it, if this does not clear up then you should see your doctor. Put up high and keep out of the grasp of little ones.

Do not use on children under 6 months old (check with your doctor first).

Once really great thing is that Oil Of Olay Touch Of Sun Body Lotion is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation because of its UV sunscrren protection to help preven sun burn and helps reduce the chance of skin cancer if used regularly.
