O.J. Simpson Badly Beaten in Prison by White Supremacist?
First of all, the National Enquirer is the source on this story, so take it with a grain of salt. According to the National Enquirer website, O.J. Simpson was beaten unconscious by a white supremacist at Lovelock Correctional Center, where he is serving a minimum of nine years for a 2007 armed robbery. So did the skinhead attack him because he believed O.J. Simpson was responsible for the death of Nicole Brown Simpson, a white woman?
Well, as it turns out, he became a marked man by white supremacists in prison not because of the belief that he was involved in the murder, but because of his incessant bragging of his many conquests of white women.
According to the report, O.J. Simpson was attacked by one skinhead in the prison yard as other inmates cheered on the attack. He was so badly beaten that he had to spend three weeks in the infirmary (but from the sounds of how his prison stint is going, it seems that he might be wishing that his stay there could have been extended even longer). The prison was reportedly trying to keep the beating under wraps.
Of course an inmate being targeted in prison is nothing new; it's not unusual for certain criminals like child molesters to have targets on their backs, and with gangs and hate groups like the white supremacists teaming up behind bars, it makes for one very volatile and dangerous situation, especially when a whole group decides to target one inmate.
After his questionable acquittal of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in 1995, O.J. Simpson was handed a questionable sentence in 2008 when he was charged with multiple felonies, including kidnapping and armed robbery, when he and a group of men entered a room in a Vegas hotel-casino and took sports memorabilia by gunpoint. O.J. Simpson stated that the items had been stolen from him. The now-63-year-old was handed a maximum 33 year sentence.
O.J. Simpson's past legal troubles include $1.44 million in past due taxes to the State of California and his pirating of satellite television from DirecTV. And if things keep going so badly for O.J. Simpson in prison, it looks like The Juice might not ever get loose to cause any more legal drama.
