Ok, I Admit it; I Like Tim Urban on American Idol

I confess. I'm a 54-year-old woman, and I am attracted to Tim Urban on American Idol. I knew it from his first performance on the show, but I really couldn't explain what it actually was about him that made me feel this way. Yes, he's good-looking. I like the way his long hair blows and the way the style of it looks on him. I can't see what color eyes he has from the television screen. He has a nice shaped face. I do like the way he moves his mouth when he sings and speaks. He does always smile and laugh, which are good personality traits to have. He plays the guitar really well, but this seems to be guitar season on American Idol with many of the contestants playing the guitar. Can it be his singing? Until last week, my favorite song he sang was, Under My Thumb. I liked the improvisation he made to that song - the tune he gave to it. I really wasn't much impressed with the other songs he sang. The way he sang, Hallelujah was good, I guess.

The judges really haven't been impressed with him. Have any of them liked any song he has sung so far? I can't totally remember. I don't know if you have been reading online articles and posts about him, but some compare Tim Urban to being as bad as Sanjaya from Season 6. How they come to that conclusion is beyond me.

I read that Tim Urban's style of music can be considered to be Swing. I think I do like Swing. I'll have to listen to a few more songs which are considered to be Swing, to say for sure.

I know I usually relate to the underdog, but I don't see Tim Urban as that on this season of American Idol at all.

Then it happened for me. Last week during Lennon and McCartney night, Tim Urban sang the song, All My Lovin'. As he sang it, I melted. I felt like Frosty the Snowman on a sunny day. Wow, he can sing that song to me every night. I realize that it may be a combination of everything above that has me attracted to him, but after I heard him sing this song I realize it's mostly his voice. To me he has the sexiest voice. It's a bit husky, and it sounds sooo sexy to me. I have always been a Beatles fan, but I actually feel that he sings this song better than they did.

Of course after I heard Tim Urban sing, All My Lovin' on American Idol, I searched YouTube for it. I found an exact video of his performance on the show. I'm thinking they must have videotaped the show and put it on YouTube. I immediately sent the link to my friends and family who I know would like it and who missed the show that night. I, myself, can't listen to it enough on YouTube. I actually sent the link to myself, and I often play it.

I have never been a loyal fan of American Idol throughout its seasons. Sometimes I watched it and sometimes I didn't. I only voted occasionally. I haven't been voting for anyone on the show this season, but since I've read that Tim Urban is not liked by many viewers, I better start voting for him.

I hope he stays on the show week-by-week, but if he doesn't that will be okay with me. I'm sure he will still record a CD, and I know he will be going on the American Idol Tour. I've never been to one of their performances by ya' never know. I'll be one of the older folks in the audience liking a much younger fellow. Well, you know what they say, "You're as young as you feel."
