Oklahoma Casino Awards $1.1 Million Jackpot

Man Wins $1.1 Million on Wheel of Fortune Machine

Marie Lowe
Millions of people travel to a casino or buy a lottery ticket with the hope of hitting the big jackpot.

Some spend tons of money a year only to come out on the short end.

Others may gamble once and experience beginner's luck and walk away a little richer.

Well one man is $1,151,959 richer after spending $23 at Native Lights Casino, located in Newkirk, Oklahoma.

The casino issued a press release on Sept. 17 about the incredible win.

The man who asked to remain anonymous told the staff he was visiting the casino for a chance at a car drawing.

He decided to play a "Wheel of Fortune MegaJackpot machine.

He told staff he chose the machine because "I like Wheel of Fortune."

After a small $23 investment the man was a millionaire.

The casino reports that the MegaJackpot is the first to be paid at Native Lights.

The casino is one of two casinos in Kay County operated by the Tonkawa Tribe.

The casino is one of several Oklahoma casinos belonging to a 17 state gaming network.

Anytime a coin is played in the network, the cumlative jackpot increases.

This win is the 59th win in Oklahoma since gaming went on line in September of 2006.

Native Lights is open 24 hours a day every day.

Currently the casino and the Tonkawa Casino in Tonkawa, are my two favorite gambling spots.

I recommend the Red Hot Jackpot game however the chances of winning a million dollars on that machine is slim.

As my son says when he buys a ticket...."Somebody has to win."
