Favorite Lunch Restaurant

If you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine, then Mediterranean Cafe in Oklahoma City is for you. It is a small lunch restaurant but also a grocery with imports from around the world. I rarely leave without a bag of groceries and side dishes of great Mediterranean food. Before you finish with this Oklahoma City restaurant review, you will be planning to eat Mediterranean cuisine soon.

Oklahoma City Restaurant Review

At the Mediterranean Deli, orders are taken at the counter. Then, take a seat and your Mediterranean food is served when it's ready. The wait is typically short and service is varied. There seems to be a turn-over among order takers but the food is always great. The atmosphere is usually quiet. The dining area is small with about nine booths and four tables in the center.

There is a nice outside dining porch covered with grapevines. It's comfortable during spring and fall but summers are too warm.

Mediterranean Deli Menu

I usually order the Middle Eastern Platter which is kibbi, grapeleaves, falafel, hummus, tabouli and pita. The meal doesn't quite fill me unless I order an additional side or dessert. The coffee isn't good so I skip it. But I always enjoy every bite of this Mediterranean cuisine. Everything is great whether it's a Mediterranean platter, dessert, or side. Mediterranean Food Imports

Here is where I go nuts. In the grocery, there are buckets of 15 types of olives, brie and other cheeses, breads including arabic flat breads and pitas, meats, spices, coffees and teas, sweets, fresh vegetables and other foods. The side dishes are wonderful with a side salad of pasta, potato, bean, olive, fruit, eggplant and taboluli. Grapeleaves, Meat/Spinach Pie and other Mediterranean food is available too. Some of my lunches are all sides.

And I can't help but feel that this Oklahoma City restaurant is authentic Mediterranean cuisine because of the imports. And I saw the actor, Arman Asanti, eating lunch here so I'm sure someone told him about the good Mediterranean food. By the way, I was by the door when he walked out so I spoke to him. He ducked and the person with him got between us. I guess I could be a crazy, 5'1" stalker so they have to be careful.

Oklahoma City Restaurant Review: Mediterranean Imports and Deli

For this Oklahoma City restaurant review, I give Mediterranean Deli 10 points for the Mediterranean food and 91/2 for the restaurant. The only reason I knock off the ½ point is the coffee and I'm not quite full with the platters even though the price is right. But for their Mediterranean cuisine, it's always been worth it.
