Oklahoma City Thunder 2009-2010 Game-By-Game Predictions

More Development and Growth Lie Ahead for the Young Oklahoma City Thunder

Mark Hawkins
The 2009-2010 Oklahoma City Thunder have added some pieces to complement their young core of Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, and Russell Westbrook. Durant is a budding star who can flat out score the basketball. Green is a talented, well-rounded forward who can shoot the three. Westbrook is a super-athletic guard who can defend and get to the basket.

During the offseason the Oklahoma City Thunder made acquisitions that will address a couple of their weaknesses. Rookie guard James Harden (selected third in the 2009 NBA Draft) is a good catch and shoot guy who will improve Oklahoma City's perimeter shooting. Veteran center Etan Thomas (acquired in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves) will give the Thunder's frontcourt a tough defensive presence. These additions along with the continued growth and maturation of the core group will make the Thunder an intriguing team this season.

Thunder Man you are absolutely right. I could not have been more wrong with my Oklahoma City Thunder predictions if I tried. I thought they were still a year away from really competing for a playoff spot. Their defense has improved dramatically and is much better than I thought it would be. I thought Etan Thomas would help them defensively but what they are doing defensively is amazing. If they keep this up they may find themselves playing meaningful games in April.
