This product comes contained in a pressurized aerosol can and dispenses very much like a hair mousse styling aide. At a cost of $ 6.44 I thought this product was small for its price at 5.2 ounces (150 g), but am always interested in skin care products with an easy rinsing capability. Another feature I look for is longevity of the product, even some drugstore brands can be pricey for something that is only used a few times daily for a few minutes. I like products where a little goes a long way. I hoped I could get more out of this small little package than indicated by the container size.
The cleanser itself is very good; it contains what they call "micro-crystals", which help exfoliate the skin. It is dispensed via a pump style mechanism. The instructions say to be sure to fully depress the applicator to avoid it becoming clogged. Doing this however does not prevent the application device from being clogged or leaking. It also causes too much product to be dispensed into your hand. This causes the cleanser to be largely washed down the sink each time it is used.
I would not recommend this product to anyone who looks to find good skin care and a good value to stretch their dollar. The Olay® Pore Refining Mousse Cleanser is a very good product on its own but if you prefer products that last long and do a good job I would not recommend this product. This pore refining cleanser made my skin very smooth and made it appear virtually pore less. However the entire container lasted me only about 30 days.
I prefer something that lasts about three months or more, because when I am shopping I look for something that will help me cleanse my skin and last a long time so that I can get more for my money. This product over dispenses, if you use the dispensing applicator as instructed the bottle tends to leak regardless of how you use the bottle. Each time you use this product you'll receive too much product for one sitting-making it run out quicker. I won't be using it again unless it is repackaged into a more economical form.

Well written, Jennifer. Thanks for the warning about this product. Sometimes the cheaper brands work better.

It's too bad skin care products are soooo expensive! I use inexpensive face wash products and moisturize with Olay. It works for me! Great article!
