Olay Regenerist: a Personal Review

There are many products in the Olay Regenerist line from eye serums to wrinkles reducers, moisturizers with UV protection to some without, cleansers and wipes. You could go crazy, and broke, buying them all. The other option is to choose a cleanser, a facial cream and an eye serum in this line and cover all your needs for the cost of one small tube of most major department store brands. No matter what brand or type of skin care regimen you choose, remember that short of surgery, there is no miracle to completely reverse the signs of aging, so it would be best to begin taking care of your skin as early as possible to help slow the signs of aging. Don't wait because no matter how good you feel about yourself when the lines start showing up, they will bother you to some extent.

I opted to use the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream and applied it every night for a month. The cream claims to firm sagging-prone skin, smooth skin surface and restore elasticity. I will agree that I definitely saw a difference in the appearance of my skin. This product contains amino-peptide which has an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin's surface. The closest treatment that has similar effects would be a professional facial and peel which, though it certainly has greater results, can temporarily leave your skin red and blotchy.

When I finished using the cream for one week, I noticed that my skin felt softer and suppler to the touch. It also seemed that my skin had a little more glow to it than usual and maybe a little tighter. I did not, however, noticed any difference in any of the lines on my face. I decided to continue using the product for another two weeks and then decide whether it was worth the money.

I continued to use Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting cream and decided not to really look for any results until the end of the first month of using it daily. When the end of the month came of using the cream once, sometimes twice, daily I must admit I did see a noticeable difference. My skin was definitely more radiant and tighter. The lower jaw area where my skin was sagging, though barely noticeable to anyone but myself, did appear to be tighter and more youthful looking. As for the small amount of tiny lines around my eyes, I guess I could say they seemed to be a little less defined, but maybe my hopes were a little to higher for this cream. I think it is a great facial cream that works very well in brightening and moisturizing your skin. If you start using it at a younger age, I think it could possibly slow the progression of tiny lines over time and doesn't cost as much. One thing I like about this cream is that a little goes a long way. At this time I will continue to use Olay Regenerist, but plan on trying a different product in the line once I use up the Micro-Sculpting Cream.
