His intruding and sometimes aggressive family life including his 3 adult children of his wife of 40 years never seemed to respect him, even after he had worked so hard to accomplish his benefits of his job of being a janitor of a local hospital for so many years. Harry always loved all of the patients, while he was cleaning the floors during the night of the third shift, and always talked to the patients during his nightly routine and asked them "Are you Okay!"
I can always call the nurse? as told by Harry. " How can I help you in anyway possible?" Harry just loved people in general, even it meant going out of his way and not making any extra money for his kindness and hard hospital work, night after night without any monetary value in life.
He would always laugh and try to "cut up" with these ill patients while they were awake during the night, in the hospital while they where suffering so much because of their fatal old age disease pains, broken bones or any disease with small children, especially leukemia. Or anything that they were afflicted with to become that caused them to become a hospital patient.
(These people did NOT ask to be hospitalized?) Harry always knew this every night while working his shift cleaning the hospital floors, "But always loved these patients and his job". Harry watched these people suffer every night, but knew their was nothing he could do to take away this pain?
Harry knew only one thing in life? The love of other human beings? He spent most of his outside time and money on gambling of the state lottery to relieve his pain and stress of these hospital patients, which his wife and family always seem to "Bitch about constantly?" This truly remarkable loving guy always had a way of losing anything in life? No matter how hard he tried.
"His wife had a right to complain at times?" about him playing the state lottery on a daily basis. Even if was just a dollar or two? She always said! "Harry you will never win the lottery no matter how hard you try?" Sometimes Harry would spend too much money causing a problem in their monthly budget.
Old Harry's wife of 40 years knew only one thing about life? "How to be lazy!" She cared only about their 3 adult children, and always told them to try to be "something in life besides their father as a hospital floor cleaning man?" Which was often times embarrassing for Harry during family events which she preached about thoroughly
(Although Harry had worked his tail off over the years to try to provide for his wife and family). Harry was a meek and loving person that always cared about people in general because he always "Loved Life" no matter whom it was, especially the hospital patients.
The state lottery seemed to be Harry's greatest downfall in life, which he seemed to love so much outside of his work. He never drank alcohol, smoked cigarettes or hardly never cursed in life. Always loved his family and respected God and even went to church on Sundays.
Playing the state lottery for Harry and or even playing a scratch off card just to see fascinate him if he could win this state lottery in life! Which his wife and family always complained about. "Until finally one day Harry hit the winning lottery number of $40,000 (thousand dollars!), which was divided by others in the state lottery.
Naturally, his disrespectful family was amazed at his winnings! "Harry had finally won after all his years of playing the daily lottery!" His hateful, but yet loving wife at times of marriage and so many years decided I'm am going to do something nice for Harry and buy him a big screen television that he always wanted and also have it delivered to our home without any announcement with his surprise using our credit card number versus the winning lottery ticket because we are "Rich?" of this lottery winning.
His wife and sometime loving family thought this was a "Great Day" for Harry, our father and true loving husband which was obviously never shown over the years as a family ever revealed to Harry. "He thought at the time this was a truly incredible experience for the first time in his life because his family finally respected him? Or at least he thought before this "weird" incident happened in his life?
Unfortunately, at the time in their neighborhood they had a tremendous amount of home burglaries in the past few months. Hard working Harry was also aware of this fact? Which his wife was NOT also aware of at the time? Because she had decided to work a day shift job after all these years in the past months because of her boredom and lack of household economic times of money?
Old Harry finally decided to buy a small caliber pistol hand gun with his lottery winnings just to be safe in his home during the day while he was sleeping. Which he never told his wife about, just to not alarm her. He kept this small hand gun in his bedside drawer.
Ironically, "Harry's wife gave instructions to the delivery people of this T.V. set" to deliver this gigantic wide screen television while he was asleep during the day time and enter through the back door of their home which she kept unlocked, because Harry works the night shift and sleeps during the day? "She said please try to be quiet and not wake Harry?" Not knowing that there had been so many burglaries in the local neighborhood at the time during the day while everyone was at work.
This was a peaceful and loving community in a American society subdivision. "Harry never told his lifetime wife about these local burglaries during the day time"
Harry "woke up" and heard a noise coming from down stairs of his home?" He knew about all these day time burglaries in the local neighborhood? "What should I do?" He immediately grabbed his gun from his bedside drawer and proceeded downstairs to find a person with long hair and beard taking away his stereo equipment with no uniform on? "This guy looked like a crook and thief" as later on told by Harry to the local police authorities. "I did not know that he was replacing certain electronic devices and in training?"
Apparently, this delivery person turned around and tried to throw something at Harry because he only seen a gun in his face! Harry fearful of his life fired two shots of his gun into this so-called burglars body. Killing him instantly . Harry had NO idea of what had happened in this incident in his home? His wife tried to explain what happened regarding this so-called murder which the police later on ruled as a homicide investigation simply she had invited them into their home at a certain time as a pre-meditated crime murder?
Harry had often been regarded as a "weird" but not a violent person with his co-workers, his wife finally hired one of the best lawyers in town to defend him while he was in jail during the same week of his winning the lottery. Reluctantly, his "Great" defensive attorney told him "I probably can get you off with probation" but it will cost you about $40,000.00 which will you need to me pay up front?
"I see you have won the lottery this week?" as told by his present attorney. You will need to pay me the money upfront and I will get you off with a jury trial of suspension and possibly probation for years to come. Leaving poor old Harry with nothing in life? That he had finally tried so hard for over the years.
Fact or Fiction?
