Old Man Entwhistle

Darrin A. Yarbrough
Timeless serene transfixed Denison by the stream,

Lead stoic reverence wise-wooded pillar speaks steady.

Yes - Kindred souls seek solace under shady brim,

Cradled in perfumed elegance...Timeless...Old.

Crowning wreath, which, steadfast...Seems to whither,

The children visit so fast,

Frantic lively souls quickly dispatch into the universe.

Seen by limbs stretched to the stars,

Plucking silver orbs from terraqueous,

Sidereal sphere of eternity.

Known foundation writhes in hallowed ground,

Twists, snarls mossy embankment down,

Gently slurping sweet sprinkled aqueous foam.

Discoverer of appartitions...Unseen...Unknown.

The child-like stance of man eclipsed by

Permanent towering monument to God...
