OLD MEN CANT DANCE

Paul Monda
When the old men were young and their bones were supple
When they were strong and they valiantly fought in battle
When their minds were still slick and they thought wisely
Their young feet were quick and they moved proudly
The old men were young and the old men danced

When the old men grew and their minds matured
When their flags flew and their best deals were scored
When beauties they married and their sons were born
They were self assured and their hearts filled with scorn
The old men had grown and the old men could dance

But times have changed and now the people are wiser
The old men have aged and their strong bones are weaker
Now it's time to change guard and let the young be leader
For the old men are old and the old men can't dance
