Old Navy Flip Flops - My Comfort Item

My Summer Shoe Wardrobe Would Not Be Complete Without Old Navy Flip Flops

Erika
Honestly, I don't think I could survive [quite as happily] during summer life if it weren't for my flip-flops bought so inexpensively at Old Navy. I currently have 3 pairs that I wear to the pool, for shopping, or for social get-togethers. They are so likeable (for anyone comfortable with her own feet) since they can be slipped on in about 2 seconds. Plus, they allow one's feet to be as breezy as possible - while comfortably fashionable, as well.

Right now one can find flip-flops of all types, whether for bum wear, casual wear, or even sometimes dressy wear. And numerous colors and types are to be found right at Old Navy. For instance, I have a casual/dressy pair that is black with black sequins. They look quite elegant on my feet. I use them for casual wear such as outdoor barbeques or dinner at a restaurant. They cost less than $10.

I also have two bum wear pairs in which I use either to walk to and from the pool, to bum around at the park with my daughter or just to stroll to the mailbox . One is a white pair and the other is a bright pink (chosen among a rainbow of colors). I got the two of them for $5, since they are a better deal if you buy 2 pairs instead of 1 for $3.50.

There are even wedge type and thicker-sole type flip flops for an even more trendy look. I hope to get one of these types soon, as I've seen them worn on other ladies who look quite put together. Plus, the thicker soles support tired feet even better than the regular kinds. The price for these types is around $7.

I first started buying my "flops" (as I sometimes call them) when I was a college student. Old Navy had (and still has every spring/summer) a huge display of different-colored flip flops, and the price for a pair was so inexpensive that I bought my first pair right when I saw them (yes I'm an impulse buyer at times). Going to college at a beach town in Florida, I saw many locals wearing them. Even in the dorm rooms, girls would wear them to visit their friends' rooms. That was when I began wearing them any chance I got.

Since then (and probably even before then) they've been very popular as a casual summer shoe, and they are my main summer shoe. Unless I am dressing up really nicely for church, work, a formal party, or needing a very supportive athletic shoe, you can guess I'm probably wearing flip flops any other time that requires shoes.

I do wish sometimes that flip flops came in more styles - for biking or jogging, for instance. But, that is the only way I could think of them improving. Every year, as long as Old Navy continues to produce them, I plan to update my shoe wardrobe with a new pair of Old Navy flip flops - or two or three.
