Old Spice High Endurance Vs. Certain Dri Anti-Perspirant

Nobody likes to sweat profusely, unless their working out, and it always seems to happen at the wrong times. I wanted to take a look at a couple of anti-perspirants and compare them to figure out which one works the best at containing sweat. Hopefully, this will help eliminate the embarrassing moments that sweat causes and help you to gain back the confidence to wear whatever you want and know that you won't sweat through it. The two products I want to review are Certain Dri and Old Spice High Endurance Antiperspirant/deodorant.

I have used Certain Dri for about 6 months now and have seen good results. Certain Dri is a very powerful anti-perspirant and it's recommended that you only apply it every 3 days. It is definitely prescription strength, and it seems to work well at keeping the sweat at a minimum. There are a couple of downfalls to Certain Dri. You cannot apply it after a shower. Because it is so powerful, it can irritate your skin, and if this occurs you must discontinue use.

When applying it, it tends to be a little uncomfortable because it has a rolling ball head that tends to get caught in your armpit hair (ouch!). Also, it does not contain a scent, so you must also apply deodorant. Finally, the price of Certain Dri is about double what the High Endurance is. If you couple this with the fact that you will need to buy a separate deodorant when using Certain Dri, it is about 3 times more expensive than the High Endurance.

Old Spice High Endurance is much cheaper than the Certain Dri, but it does not have as much sweat-stopping power. Whats nice about the High Endurance is the fact that it is a deodorant and anti-perspirant all in one, so it saves you money. It also comes in many different scents that would please just about anyone. I have tried many of the scents and most of them smell good and work equally well.

The one scent that seemed to fall a little short was the Pacific Surge scent. For some reason, it seemed that this scent did not help mask the scent of "body odor" very well. Other than that one scent, I have not had any other complaints with the other "flavors". Although the High Endurance contains more than twice the amount of product in each stick than the Certain Dri does, it gets used up about twice as fast as the Certain Dri. This is because you only need to use the Certain Dri about once every 3 days.

The High Endurance is definitely more convienant than the Certain Dri, because you can apply whenever you want, whereas the Certain Dri is best applied only at bedtime (or in the morning if you take a shower at night and not in the morning). The effectiveness of the Certain Dri can't be beat. It is the only product that I have found that actually works consistently to stop frequent sweating. The High Endurance works well, but it definitely is not as strong as the Certain Dri.

For people that don't mind spending a few extra bucks a month to stay dry, I would recommend using the Certain Dri with your favorite scented deodorant. It is definitely worth the money because of the embarrassing moments it will help you to avoid because of excessive sweating. If sweating is not a huge problem for you, I would recommend using Old Spice High Endurance. It is a milder formula that may work best for people with sensitive skin who don't need as strong of a medicine. Either way, you'll be getting top quality products that will surely help keep your sweating at bay.
