OLED Wallpaper Will Illuminate Your Entire Room

Future of Wallpaper

The lighting of a room can change the overall atmosphere immensely. Many people do not understand how lighting affects our moods. Studies have shown that the brighter the light the happier the person. Bright light triggers positive energy in us while darker light tends to change our moods to more of a depressed one. This is why companies are always working towards creating brighter lights or lighting alternatives. Perhaps the coolest product being worked on today is something known as OLED wallpaper.

A first glimpse at OLED wallpaper might lead you to believe that what you are looking at is fake and not real. However, OLED wallpaper is very real and might be the future of wallpapers. OLED wallpaper is a product that LOMOX has been working on for several years now. The company has managed to incorporate OLED lighting technologies into wallpaper. What this creates is a room that is greatly illuminated.

Not much is known about the technology being used to create the wallpaper currently. Sources have passed along to me that the wallpaper will have the ability to be put on a lower or higher brightness setting. This is so you can have different lighting depending on what time of day it is. Also, OLED wallpaper happens to use a lot less power than ordinary lightbulbs do. In fact, this type of lighting only requires 3 to 5 volts to operate.

The main purpose behind this technology was to create a way to bring ambient lightening into a room without using a ton of energy in the process. We are living in a society that is becoming more energy conscious and creating a product that takes this into consideration was very important for LOMOX. They understood what lighting does to our moods and what better way to deliver it to us than through a source that surrounds every room.

OLED wallpaper could also have the capability of changing into multiple different designs. This capability has yet to be tapped into but the companies plans to make this a next step to take. I think the technology will catch on because it saves people energy while providing them with a unique way to light up their rooms. It will be interesting to see if this technology will catch on or if it will simply become a fashion trend.
