Olive Garden Restaurant Experience

WRITER
Olive Garden was founded in 1982 owned and operated by Darden Restaurants. Darden Restaurants is the nations largest most successful restaurant chain. Darden Restaurants also own and operates The Red Lobster chain. Olive garden offers a family home style dining with inspiring recipes from Tuscany, Italy. Their Culinary school was founded in 1999 in Tuscany, Italy. Where they train their chefs and create menus for the restaurant. With a remarkable wine selection and great home cook Italian meal and a affordable menu price I have always enjoyed my stay at the Olive Garden.

Olive Garden has received many award throughout their history. Recent awards came from the Nation's Restaurant News which presented Olive Garden with the "Menu Masters" award for best menu revamp and from Restaurants & Institutions "Choice in Chains" honor for Italian dining. It has also been named Chain of the Year by Restaurant Hospitality, and from Restaurant Business was awarded Silver Skillet for overall menu excellence.

I have always enjoyed going to Olive Garden for their world famous Salad and Bread Sticks. Sometime I don't even have time to save room for the main entree because it is so delicious. When you reach the doors at the Olive Garden you are welcome by door greeters. I have never been to a restaurant where someone opened the door and greeted me. I love the set up the restaurant has, it is like your eating at home. The design is very unique and gives you a warm feeling and the tables are not as close and uptight like majorities of restaurants. Soon as you are greeted, you are taken to your table where a intelligent server comes to offer you different varieties of wine.

I usually order the Garlic-Herbed con Broccoli for only $12.50. Rosemary-seasoned chicken breasts sautéed with fresh broccoli in a garlic cream sauce over orecchiette pasta. My wife usually gets the Tuscan Grilled Chicken for $12.95. Pan-seared chicken breasts with roasted garlic, red peppers and spinach in a white wine and garlic cream sauce, tossed with curly fettuccine. Then we get some spaghetti for my son for $4.95. Right after the order is taken the server brings the salad and breadsticks. The servers and staffs provide excellent service and great food. I have never been to an Olive Garden and not enjoyed my food or service. I dine out regularly and many other restaurant disappoints me time to time. So for all that great food and service my total is roughly $35.00 including drinks. I have to spend more money at WalMart to get groceries to eat. With exceptional price and remarkable service I highly recommend the Olive Garden for a great family meal.

i don't care much for Italian but my daughter loves OG. She laughs at me because I don't like tomatoes on practically everything. The breadsticks are great and the Alfredo is my favorite when I go with her. Good article.
