Olivia Newton John Has an "adult Wild Child" to Contend with - What Next?
Chloe Lattanzi is Showing Up "blotto" at Clubs and Engaging in Wild and Dangerous Behavior
No parent likes to have to deal with the type of behavior that Chloe Lattanzi seems to be intent on dishing up lately. Going missing for 12 hours in Miami, now seen kissing another woman in a Los Angeles street behind a West Hollywood club then passing out, it seems the would-be singer is acting like a rebellious teenager, not like the 24 year old adult she is supposed to be.
I can't remember how many years it is since Chloe Lattanzi announced she was making a record. Well - that hasn't happened that I know of. Does the daughter of successful singer Olivia Newton-John and dancer Matt Lattanzi have any singing talent? If not, her wild behavior could be a cover for lack of success with a project that has never gotten off the ground. Or does she have psychological problems that she can't deal with? Either way, this miss needs professional help - and fast!
It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to become a recording star. Even Lisa-Marie Presley had limited success with her efforts. Just because a parent has had a major career in music, doesn't mean their children will automatically be successful.
It is understandable that Olivia would be concerned about her daughter's escapades. The fact that Chloe is passing out (is this from the effects of too much alcohol and/or drugs?) puts her in a perilous situation. When a person loses control, anything can happen to them. So far, Chloe has been lucky that people (albeit strangers) have intervened to protect her. However, what about the time when that doesn't happen? It is sad to see a young person send their life down the drain like this.
Britney Spears went through a period of mayhem in her life but has pulled herself out of it and moved on to a more settled existence.
Nicole Richie, daughter of Lionel Richie, is now happily married to Joel Madden with two children, but has previously been the subject of much publicity for her stupid antics.
Even Paris Hilton has been noticeably quiet lately!
Nobody wants to see Chloe Lattanzi come to grief. It would be a very sad situation if somebody close to her doesn't get the necessary help she needs to put her on the straight and narrow. Everyone has to grow up at some stage of their life. We all have disappointments and unexpected circumstances to deal with. Hardly anyone gets off without some type of trauma in their lives. The trouble with Chloe is that she is 24 and does not have to take direction from either of her parents. Perhaps some type of intervention will be necessary to ensure the safety of this troubled young lady in the near future.
Newton-John dodged questions about her daughter at the G'Day USA gala last week, simply saying: "She's fine."

Post a CommentHadn't heard about this. Olivia Newton John was always so wholesome, it's a shame her daughter isn't the same.
I've seen so many young adults who act like children, but I've also seen a lot of young adults act maturely. Having a successful, beautiful, and talented parent must be especially hard on children who try to live up to their own expectations. Hopefully they will get to a point where they realize their own contributions to society and try not to compare themselves with their parents.
Good reporting. I wonder if the media is quiet on Britney etc because they are just focusing on other targets.
Parents can only do so much and their children grow up on their own schedule, if they grow mature at all. The erratic behavior could be due to bipolar or other illness.
Sad story. I feel for Olivia as she's been through so much and now this!

Parents of adult children can still love and support their grown children. They feel helpless because they can't help in ways they wish they could, but they can still love and support their adult children and pray that one day soon their children will make the right choices.
