How does Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach Taste?
If you like fresh spinach, you'll probably love Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach. The spinach leaves are small (it is baby, after all), clean, and tasty. Best of all, Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach is one of the few fresh spinach products I've found that doesn't leave a muddy feeling coating on my teeth. I have also never found any sand or dirt particles in Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach. I dress the spinach lightly with a vinaigrette and add a handful of sunflower seeds for crunch. This has been my lunch for nearly two months, and I'm not tired of it yet.
How does Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach Compare to Other Spinach?
The flavor of Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach is the same compared to other organic baby spinach, but I find I prefer the texture of Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach a bit more. I've also noticed strange leaves that don't look like spinach in all organic spinach. They look like very plump blades of grass. Because I have found these in all brands of organic spinach, I assume it is some variation of the spinach plant. I still don't like eating them (for no good reason) and pick them out when I find them. I appreciate that I find very few of these odd leaves in Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach, while other brands seem to have quite a few of them.
There really is no comparison between Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach and non-organic spinach. The flavor and texture of the Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach is far superior, and I'm not a person who places a much higher value on foods of organic origin over non-organic origin. My preferences are based purely on taste, texture, and value.
Is Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach Worth the Price?
Absolutely. In my grocery store, Olivia's Organics is only slightly more expensive than other organic brands and all organic brands of baby spinach aren't that much more than non-organic spinach. So the extra cents per pound are more than worth it to me and I will continue to make Olivia's Organics Baby Spinach a regular part of my diet.
