Olympia Coffee Roasting Company Review

Lets face it, there are many brands and blends of coffee out there with all kinds of hype and pedigrees attached. With all the choices it can make getting a decent cup of joe seem like an impromptu search for the holy grail. I, too, have delved the murky waters of mainstream coffee distributors with their cute named concoctions and more than questionable prices. Personally, I believe that the best avenue to a great cup of coffee is grinding and brewing at home. Not only do you have total control over what goes into your cup, but you also have total control over what comes out of your wallet (which can only be a plus in this fluctuating economy.) In my search for the best coffee for this purpose I never had to look farther than my own backyard. Nestled in the heart of downtown Olympia, Wa. Olympia Coffee Roasting Company, in my opinion, has some of the best blends in the coffee industry. I have tried many, many other companies and keep coming back to Olympia Coffee Roasting Company. Their blends are ripe with flavor notes and tones, such as:

'Morning Sun'--a lovely smooth blend with a honey citrus finish; 'Procession'--full of flavor with a sweet chocolate undertone; 'Big Truck'--a fine dark blend with a spicy fruity taste; and my personal favorite (at the moment)--'Water St'--a very smooth chocolately finish with light berry undertones. This time of year they also have a lovely Holiday blend redolent with spiced fruit and almonds. The perfect thing for those early morning trips to the Christmas tree. Pick your favorite or try them all, you really can't go wrong.

In addition to their blends they also stock many single origin coffees if you need your Ethiopian or Bolivian coffee fix, and they offer all this at very competitive prices.
