Olympus Fashion Week in New York

Fashion has always been a part of our culture and society Fashion has always been important all around the world. There are may fashion capitals in the world. Fashion capitals are the places where people go and look to see what the new hot trends in clothes are going to be. Internationally, Rome, Italy, Paris, France and Tokyo, Japan are the fashion capitals where people like to go shopping for great clothes and accessories.

In recent years, London, England has been viewed as a new fashion capital. In the United States, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago are considered fashion hot spots. People who love fashion like to go to Fashion week in order to see what new and hot in the world of fashion. There are normally two fashion weeks. There is a Fashion Week in the fall that is sometime in September that focuses on what fashion designers have coming out for their spring collections. And, spring fashion week usually held in April or May focus on what fashion designers have coming out for their fall collections. I have always wished to go to fashion week because of the great clothes and accessories that designers come up with.

All new fashion designers wish to show their clothes in the tents during New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park. Olympus Fashion Week is a highlight for fashion lovers, fashion connoisseurs, and new comers to fashion alike. It is seem like a given that be viewing Fashion Week in New York or Los Angeles would spark creativity within anyone who works or wishes to work in the fashion industry. Many up and coming designers and established designers are a part of Fashion Week. Many designers have spring 2007 collections to show at Olympus Fashion Week.

This year's spring collections at Olympus Fashion Week will be shown the week of September 8th through the 15th. Monday September 8th there will be a welcome party for all designers and a sample fashion show of all of the designers clothing. On Sept 9th designers such as Perry Ellis, BCBG, which will be represented by Max Azria, Nicole Miller, and Kimora Lee Simmons, who will preview her Baby Phat collection for spring, Russell Simmons who was Kimora's husband is also a fashion designer.

Academy Art University will showcase some of its students work. Sept 10th will focus on the fashion designs of DKNY, which is one of Donna Karen's fashion labels and Diane Von Furstenberg. Sept 11th will showcase the designs of Jill Stuart and Carolina Herrera. Michael Kors and James Mischa and Mark Badgley will have their runway shows on September 13th. People will see wedding dress designer Vera Wang will be seen on the runway September 14th. Olympus Fashion Week concludes on September 15th with Jay Carroll and four designers from Project Runway.

The reason that people will see four designers from Project Runway is because no one is supposed to know which three at that point are the actual finalists of Project Runway because if the people knew who the finalist of Project Runaway were the information might get leaked to the press and the end of Project Runway would be spoiled. Any one who is in the fashion industry or just loves fashions can't wait for Olympus Fashion Week in New York.
