Now what you have to do is take brussels sprouts (I used the fresh ones although I did have some in those steam bags) and cut their hard bottom core out. Then quarter them. If there are any yucky leaves on the outside, you can throw them away. Then take a bowl and put them in it and pour over a few teaspoons of olive oil or canola oil and some salt and pepper. Make sure to mix them well and put them in a pan in the oven until they are dark browned. You will smell them as they get well done so then it is time to check them and maybe give them a turn or two. Let them get good and brown and just eat them like you would potato chips.
I kid you not, they are delicious and you may have found your new guilt-free addiction. As a Weight Watcher, I find it difficult to get my healthy oil on a daily basis. But now my free veggies are something I look forward to having. After the meeting, I went to BJ's Wholesale Club and got a pound and a half package of them. I only do three or four at a time because they go a long way and I am the only one eating them, but I finish them all when I make them.

This sounds good!
A sort of serendipity like when some cooking goes overboard. I will ask my wife to do it for me to get a better taste! I am happy that you have found a gem that leaves a lasting taste with none yet to share with! Thanks for sharing (I mean this tip!), Diane! siva

This indeed sounds like an interesting twist to an often maligned vegetable~
Interesting idea. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try it, yet, but I'll keep it in the back of my mind.
