Coming off of lukewarm reviews for his performance last week of Michael Jackson's Keep The Faith, Scott MacIntyre chose Wild Angels by Martina McBride for this week's country themed week. Randy Travis, the guest mentor, initially questioned Scott's song choice but said when he heard Scott's voice and his excellent piano skills, he knew it was going to be a great performance. Scott delivered a sensitive, yet powerful rendition of Wild Angels accompanying himself with a beautiful piano arrangement.

Similar to last week, Scott once again received mixed reviews from the four judges. Paula said it was an impressive and lovely performance and it showed how hard he works. She cautioned him about using the piano as a crutch and said she would like him to try to connect more with the audience rather than staying behind the piano. Her comment about the piano really ticked off Simon who said, "That was a stupid thing to say." He went on to cite some the great singers that always sang while playing the piano like Billy Joel, Elton John and Ray Charles. After his rant, he returned to Scott's performance and said it was very similar to last week and he is not choosing good enough songs. Randy thought it was a good performance but said he misses Scott's hot and crazy vocals. Kara told him that he has class and poise but he needs to up his game and start hitting the high notes to woo the crowd.

Scott listened to their comments and promised them that he if he stays in the competition he will perform without his piano. After a round of applause, he followed up with "But it won't be happening soon." Scott's beautiful vocal range, not to mention his unbelievable piano skills and the ability to learn new vocals and a new piano score in less than a week, will keep him in this competition for a long time.
