Ryan reviewed the performances and the judges comments for the first group and Megan learned she was in the bottom. Ryan asked Megan if she was upset by the judges comments last night and she said, "I love you Simon, but I really don't care what you think." He moved on to the second group and asked Allison to join Megan. And, Anoop was asked to join the ladies rounding out the bottom three. When asked if the judges would use the save on any one of the three, Simon said, "Only one is worth saving."
With the three ladies standing at center stage, Allison was the first one to be told she was safe for another week. Anoop heard the same good news, but it was the end of the road for Megan. This didn't come as surprise after the criticism Megan received last night from all four of the judges. They hated the song and Simon told her she was in serious trouble. It looks like he was right. Before Megan performed Turn Your Lights Down Low again for the judges, Simon said "Megan, you said you don't care, nor do we. Consider this your swan song because we won't be using the save tonight." And, with that, Megan sang and tearfully watched a montage of her time on Idol.
Last year's American Idol winner, David Cook, was one of the guests tonight and he performed his new hit single, Come Back To Me. After his performance, he was presented with a platinum album for his debut album. Lady Gaga also performed tonight. Tonight's group song was Journey's Don't Stop Believin with Scott on the keyboard. The show's choreographers have done a great job of working with Scott's visual impairment in these high energy group numbers. For next Tuesday's show, the contestants will be performing songs from the year they were born. Tune in next week live at 8:00 PM EST on FOX.
