On Being a Woman: From the Female Perspective

I like being a woman. I think women are the stronger sex than men! This is not male bashing. I acknowledge men's strengths and their role in the society but there are just a lot of reasons why women are just the stronger sex!

In history, men were just privileged. Everything was in their favor thus enabling them a lot while women were deprived and have been stripped off having choices and the opportunities. But if women all this time were given the same privileges as men have, women would have surpassed all that men have done. All the inventors and great artist in history would have been women, and men would have been the second class citizens.

But even then, women were still strong and evident in a manner of perspective. Behind a man's success is a woman. Da Vinci had 'Mona Lisa' and Alexander the Great had his mother Olympias to secure his throne. Even Eve has shown she was stronger than Adam! Granting she was the one who first ate the fruit of knowledge, the first one who got tempted but Adam was just too dumb and weak to follow along!

In modern times with equal opportunity, I couldn't think of anything that a man does that a woman can't do. As a matter of fact, I think women can do a lot more and a lot better. While some would argue that there is just no argument since men and women are just created differently. A man's body is made with upper body strength for hard labor while a woman's body is made with lower body strength for child bearing. But the thing is a woman's body can be developed for hard labor while it's just not possible to develop a man's body for child bearing! Of course, you don't see a lot of women doing hard labor like construction, road jobs or heavy machineries! It's because most women just CHOOSE NOT to do it!

Also, studies show that women live longer than men. Very interestingly too, according to another study, married men live longer than a single men. Now I wonder why!

But personally really, I believe that men and women are EQUAL and created to complement each other. But women just have more advantages. While women enjoy the benefits of equal opportunity (or can sue someone for sexual discrimination), we also enjoy chivalry - having the door opened for us or having our luggage carried for us and being treated like a lady!
