On the Cheap: How to Whiten Your Teeth for Less

You Don't Have to Spend Hundreds of Dollars to Have White Teeth

Mrs.Gossett
We are living in a day and time of gleaming teeth. Everywhere you look, it seems like the whiter the teeth, the better. This can be very costly and out of reach for a lot of us. There are however, many ways to get comparable results at little or no cost to you. With a little commitment, you can have white, beautiful teeth in about a month. The most effective way of achieving this is a visit to your dentist. This will run you about four to five hundred dollars for a laser whitening treatment that will dramatically whiten your teeth and last for about a year. Some people report longer benefits. If this is the route you want to take and want to get the best deal, check on line for dentists in your local area. Many are new clinics who run specials on these treatments to bring in new clients. This will not make the treatment cheap, but every little bit helps. Another good bet is the take home whitening kits that your dentist offers. These will take longer, but are usually half the cost of the one hour treatments and that can add up to hundreds of dollars. They also run specials all the time on these types of kits, especially if you are a new patient.

If both of the above options are still too expensive, you can always try the at home whitening strips that you can purchase at your local drugstore. Crest white strips are a very comparable product to the kits your dentist offers. These are affordable at thirty to forty dollars. They even have a kit that produces results in 10 days. These are a great choice if you are in a time crunch. Some people who are on a very tight budget may still find it hard to put out this kind of money for a tooth whitening product. I have good news for you. You can find these whitening strips on Ebay for a fraction of the drugstore cost. This makes whitening strips an option for most budgets. You can also always buy cheaper whitening gel and simply brush with it for a full 5 minutes before your brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste.

If you need a solution for at home whitening with items you most likely already have, you are in luck. You can get great results with a combination approach. If you replace dark colas and coffee with clear sodas and beverages, you will save your shade. If you must have these stain inducing drinks, simply drink them through a straw and notice a difference. Rinsing your mouth every night with peroxide will show you results in about a month. You will have an added benefit it you sprinkle a little baking soda on your toothbrush before or after adding your toothpaste. This turns just about any toothpaste into a whitening one. You can even make your own whitening strips by mixing whitening toothpaste, peroxide, and baking soda and cutting strips of aluminum foil or saran wrap. You will look funny at home, but fabulous when you step out into the world with your dazzling white smile!
