playing a sweet, sweet sound
heading to Allentown
I got my boom box on my back
playing a sweet, sweet sound
Walking like an Egyptian
my eyes painted deep blue
pulling up my leg warmers
while I'm checking out you
can't stop myself from staring
at pins on your jacket
eyeing your brand new high tops
when I hear the racket
you say "what was that ruckus?"
Say anything! I think
but I lose my chance, you are gone
now my heart starts to sink
so my day has turned bogus
all cause I couldn't speak
I feel like a dweeb and believe
that the nineties look bleak
