On a day such as this
I sit thinking of you now.
Remembering the things you'd say
remembering just how,
you and I would laugh and whisper
about the things that we would think.

It seems like it was yesterday.
Like I could touch you if I'd blink.

I think the thing that's important dear
is that I love you still.
Remembering those times with you
brings me a smile and a thrill.

I wish that you had been there with me,
as I met my dear, dear friend.
Everything that happened there,
would have been better with you in it.

Still, I like to think of you,
and remember all the times,
that we had together.
It was us that made it thrive.

On a day such as this,
I wish that you could see,
just how many people love you
'especiually' me.
