If you have ever saved a life or attempted to do so you know as you run toward the gunfire, jump into the icy waters or enter the blazing building your mind screams out "What the hell am I doing?" If you survive, emerge alive you do not think so much about the action or outcome but doggedly reflect on that moment of reluctance and that is why we always say "I am not a hero."
