On the Street

Wiley  Vaughn
Their eyes met
Danced as sparks flew
Into the heavens.

He boldly crossed
Distance so very far
From her being.

"My lady fair
Favor me I beg
With your passion."

Her eyes glazed
Stinging icy words flew
From her soul.

"Fools find no
Love, I'll never be
Any man's toy."
