Once Again, President Obama, the President of "Change" is Looking Backward and Blaming the Bush Administration

Things Are Still the Same with the President of Change. It's Not My Fault. It was Bush. Sounds like Another MSNBC Bush Story

Scotty Starnes
Dear Mr. President of Change,

I don't know about you but I am scared of the Muslim terrorists. Just look at the newspaper today. Four "homegrown terrorists" were captured in New York today. I am amazed Mr. President. Your Department of Homeland Security put out a memo telling us to be worried about right-wing extremist. You were wrong Mr. President.

Now today, you hold a press conference and point the finger at the Bush Administration for YOUR problems with Guantanamo Bay. Nobody forced you to make the decision to close down "Gitmo". You had to appease those on the left and your Muslim friends overseas. So you came out with a bold, yet unplanned, idea. Close down Gitmo and every terrorist will shout in joy and stop their jihad against us.

Mr. President, you were wrong and we all know it. To sit back and claim that everything is President Bush's fault is an old trick. Hell, MSNBC is still blaming Bush and he has been out of office for 4 months. It is time to take responsibility Mr. President.

I think the president is still upset that members of his own party have come out against shutting down Gitmo without a plan detailing what to do with those imprisoned there. They, along with every single Republican, vote no to you $80 million request to shut down Guantanamo. You were wrong again Mr. President.

I have tried to give you t he benefit of the doubt Mr. President. During your speech today, you came out like you were still campaigning. You were on the defensive because you knew former Vice President Dick Cheney was also giving a speech about enhanced interrogation techniques and Guantanamo. You simply blamed the Bush Administration for it all and still you had no plan to present to the American public.

You stood there, Mr. President, and on the defensive, blamed the Bush-Cheney administration while not one time mentioning that we are still in the sights of terrorists. You do what many on the left try to do. Blame America first.

Mr. President, you are an expert at the Blame America first defense. You did this on your trip overseas where you were visiting Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey. We are the arrogant ones and we need forgiveness for defending our country and culture. Mr. President, I'm not sorry for anything and I believe most of America have no reasons to apologize.

Blame 2009 should be your next campaign slogan. On the economy, you blamed who? Bush. On Guantanamo Bay, again you blame Bush. You are our new President. How about you start impressing us, Mr. President.

You have the same September 10th mentality that much of your party clings to. This is a new world Mr. President. You can close down Guantanamo. You can hold trials for the detainees. Nothing is going to stop these terrorist, Mr. President, but our own will and determination.

Do you have your own will and determination, Mr. President? Are you going to stop blaming Bush and the rest of America, when you talk to Muslim terrorist? Did you not see the newspaper this morning, Mr. President? Terrorist are still amongst us.

No matter how many times you say it, enhanced interrogation techniques and Guantanamo Bay do not equal recruitment of terrorist seeking jihad against the U.S. Neither was in place before September 11th, so your claims are false. What is a great recruitment tool is another successful attack.

Take a poll Mr. President. Ask the average American citizen. We believe that Guantanamo and the enhanced interrogation techniques should be use to its full advantage. "At Whatever Costs" is the campaign slogan I hope you adopt.

President Bush and Vice President Cheney understood this. I hope you will before it is too late. This is a different world and it is constantly changing. Change you can believe in.

Do not allow these terrorist to step foot onto U.S. soil. Once they do, they will be allowed the same rights under the Constitution that protects us, the American citizen. Keep them at Guantanamo and hold your military tribunals there (hey, wasn't that a Bush idea?).

Mr. President, the blame game needs to end. Take responsibility and move forward. Just make sure you keep us safe by enacting the "at whatever costs" mindset. It is time to stop the campaigning!

  • President Obama is using the same old techniques. Blame Bush!
  • No matter how many times it is stated, enhanced interrogation techniques did not cause September 11.
  • The "President of Change" needs to take responsibility and stop pointing fingers at the past.
President Obama has reserved unto himself the right to order the use of enhanced interrogation should he deem it appropriate. Didn't Bush have a right as well?
