Once Upon a Memory

Shelly
Agony wakens me calling out my name demanding my request
knowing all too well I will walk alone desperately searching for a kindred fellow soul to join my conquest.

Extending my hand to grasp the essence I feel nothing short of tears
fallen through time and time again delivered from my fears.

Stand to walk, the floor is covered in withered rose petals left to fade
countless thorns stab my bare feet slice my heels with their sharpened blades.

Bloodened footprints mark my path along the way
forsaken love forgotten by time, one's fairytale gone astray.
