One Angel More
Heaven has a new angel
standing at attention,
he fought the fight of freedom
a life given in return for so many,
his wife and children stand
an oak box draped in red,white
and blue,
roses blowing in the wind,
memories,
it's raining now
tears from heaven,
but their tears are tears of joy
for a soldier has come home,
entered the eternal door,
now heaven has one angel more.
