One of the Best Beers with the Best Name

Michael Smith
Microbreweries have taken off these past couple of years, while they are more expensive, the cost is usually off-set by the quality of the drink. Arrogant Bastard Ale is brewed by the Stone Brewing Company in San Diego, California. They are known on the west coast for making high quality, strong tasting beers. While some of their beers can be overpowering to a lot of people, most of their beers are rated rather high on sights like Beeradvocate.com and RateBeer.com. Arrogant bastard Ale is classified as an American strong ale. It boasts a full body and flavor that can be appreciated with a meal or on its own. The taste of caramel and vanilla is a little on the stronger side, but isn't too hard to adjust to if you have never really been into strong beers. It contains 7.2% ABV, which means you wont be downing these like its water or a Bud Light. This beer is full and heavy, after two or three you will be satisfied. While on the more expensive side, with a 22 oz. bottle costing around $3.00, its not an everyday purchase.

What is great about this beer is how complex the taste is. You can tell that the guys that started Stone were strong admirers of beer. The artwork on the bottle and pint glasses that you can find at local specialty beer shops is very interesting to read and look at. People always ask what beer it is just because of how unique and good it looks. If you are ever in need of a well crafted beer to go with your steak dinner, this is definitely that beer. It is one of my personal favorites when I can afford it.
