When it comes to children it's especially irritating because they don't know what's going on. The parents really have to keep an eye on the whole situation by observing and reacting appropriately if and when a food allergy symptom happens to show up.
Food allergies within children are symptomatic with rash type occurrences, stuffy nose or an upset stomach. That it itself is bad enough but if left untreated a mild rash can quickly turn into a body rash such as hives. Quick thinking and treatment can stop this from happening even if your child is diagnosed being allergic to a certain type of food.
Some other symptoms that you need to keep an eye out for is swelling of the lips, cramping, itchy skin, or being dizzy. If any or all of these symptoms happen to show up after eating then you're first diagnose of food allergies should come into mind.
If these symptoms are immediate and pronounced after eating a food for the first time calling emergency help is the normal course of action.
What is the core issue within a food that causes this allergy? Usually it's the protein that the food contains that is the culprit.
Eggs, milk, peanuts are some of the foods that causes problems in children. Most kids outgrow their food allergies and so it is just a matter of time before it passes. If not, then the food allergies usually stay with adults for a lifetime.
