Soar, fly, glide
on wind-touched wings,
cares below, sky above
pure air in between,
seeking refuge, restitution,
in hollowed trees and waves of green fields.

Nesting in the sacred harmony of birdsong,
eagle cry,
nothing passing my eye,
prey caught in my sharp-taloned grasp;
instincts passed
down through generations:
even after I am gone,
a legacy of me remains:
I am free to
soar, fly, glide ~
~ infinitely.
