Tyrea Laucita Brownlee Held on $250,000 Bond

Tyrea Laucita Brownlee, 50, Ponca City, Oklahoma, is set to appear in Kay County District Court on Oct. 8, 2010.

Brownlee was arrested in January of 2008 by Ponca City police at Walgreens and later charged with two felony counts of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by forgery and or fraud after a felony conviction.

She was arrested again by Ponca City police at Walgreens on May 24, 2008 and later charged with a felony count of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by forgery and or fraud after two or more felony convictions.

In that case pharmacy workers told police that a woman and a man presented prescriptions for 90 Oxycontins and 90 Lortabs.

The prescriptions were presented on Oklahoma University Medical Center letterhead.

The doctor listed was contacted and he said he did not use OU letter head.

Police were notified and the couple returned to Wal-Greens a short time later.

Police responded and Brownlee and her son were arrested.

In January of 2009, she was arrested by Ponca City police and charged with six felony counts of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by forgery and or fraud after two or more felony convictions.

In May of 2010 she was arrested by Ponca City police and charged with five felony counts of obtaining or attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by forgery and or fraud after two or more felony convictions.

Brownlee is being held in the county jail on $250,000 bond and is also charged with a felony count of bail jumping for missing a scheduled court date on May 27.
