One More Bunny was written by Rick Walton and illustrated by Paige Miglio. Let me tell you, the illustrations in this book are extraordinary. And absolutely beautiful. Each page is full of detail, and a tremendous display of color. This book displays the bunnies wearing clothing and playing at the park.
The first page displays one lonely bunny playing on a slide. This bunny is soon joined by another bunny. And together they play ball. Making there now two bunnies.
And along comes another bunny, now making three. Throughout the book, one more bunny is added, making the numbers go up. It goes from one bunny up to ten bunnies. And without realizing it, your child will learn how to count to ten. This is a fun and easy way for them to learn how to count to ten. On one of the pages the bunnies play hide and seek. Help your child find all nine of the baby bunnies that are hiding throughout the page.
In this book, the bunnies play on the merry-go-round, swings, and slide. They jump rope, play tag, and go hide and seek. They dig and build sand castles in the sand box. All of these activities to which your child can relate. And this makes it even more exiting for your child, because these are bunnies, doing the things that you do.
This book costs $6.95 at your local book store. But it's well worth it. And can be found on their Web site, www.harperchildrens.com. If you get the chance you should go check it their Web site. It's full of good and interesting things.
There is a section about kids. In this section there is a list of new children's books that your children might enjoy reading. Along with a section that they may search for books based on authors, and title. Here, you may also purchase books, learn more about them, or even to review a book you or your child have already read. In the kids section there is also some sweepstakes that your children can enter win things. There are quizzes about books and games for your children. There are other great features in this section as well. This site is a great encouragement for your children to read.
Then there is this section entitled parents. In this section there is Awards and Honors, What's New, Bestsellers, and authors and illustrators. As well as sweepstakes for parents to enter to win cool prizes for their children. There is also a section for Teachers and Librarians. Which include, What's New, Book Activities, and Teaching Resources.
They also offer a 'Plan a head' feature that displays calendars. Once you pick the month that you choose, you will see a list of books that are good for that month.
For example, in the month of October, the main holiday is Halloween. So, naturally their list of books are spooky books.
Also, you can subscribe to receive their news letter, which are fulled with a lot interesting, and good things. It is a good site, and you really should take a look at it for yourself and see all the other great features the site provides that I have not talked about. There are a lot of good resources, activities and games on this site. And the best part is, all of these games, activities and resources are free!
