One Republic's Apologize

The first time I heard this song was through a friend and she let me hear both the original and the one remixed by Timbaland. I can say I was hooked the first time I heard this song. I think the beat was the first thing that really caught my attention-not to mention the really catchy lyrics that can be remembered easily (even by kids-I've heard three year olds singing this song!). The original version is slower and more intense and if you really want to get a feel of the song, listen to that version first. Timbaland's remix is a little more faster in pace plus it has a lot more beats mixed into it but it doesn't change the meaning of the lyrics. When you listen to the lyrics of the song, you get the feeling that the person got tired of being taken for granted. That the apologies are just words that have no meaning and that it's now too late to apologize for the wrongs done. Very sad. The voice is soulful and the song, heartfelt. I have not gotten tired of listening to this song even if it has been around for more than a year. A lot of people like "Apologize" as well and when I asked them why, it's the way that it was sung and I'd have to agree with them on that. One Republic has a very different approach on their songs and I've listened to their album already. Great songs! However, this is the song that really stands out among all of their songs. Now, if you want easy listening music, this is the song for you.
