One Simple Rule to Organize Your Life

Tonya Smith
Oh, how I would love to be organized. Let's face it, life is very complicated these days, and the last thing on my mind is organization. No matter if it is the car, the house, the family, or heaven forbid the finances. Well, it's time to face facts. As a nation, we have been on auto pilot for a while now. Now it's time to step up and get back on top of things in our lives. Hopefully this tip will help you get back in charge of your life.

The secret to a happy, sane, and organized life is.....Just be yourself.

If you are rich, embrace it. If you are a slob, accept it. If you are poor, be thankful. If your house is a pig sty, it's okay. If any of these things make you feel that you are bad somehow, change it. If any of these things were brought to your attention by someone, and they have no bearing in your life, tell them where to stick their opinion! If it is your family that is telling you that you may not be doing something right, then you should evaluate your life and lifestyle.

The older I get, the more I understand that those people that are trying to give you advice are really only trying to help. If I had listened to those people that said not to run up my credit card balance, I might not be in the mess I'm in. Don't get me wrong, people love to give advice. Sometimes it may be good, and sometimes it may be bad. The best advice is to make an educated decision. Don't just follow something because someone told you to or it's what you have always done. Ask yourself if it is the best thing for you to do. And be honest with yourself.

Now, you do need to make sure things are clean and free of germs in your home and car. You do need to take out the trash and sweep the floor. You do need to clean the window at least once a year. And you do need to dust the ceiling fan. These things are just to keep your most important machine running at full speed. That machine would be your body. You are the most important thing in your life, and also in the lives of people around you.

So, organization of your life begins inside. Inside yourself is where everything you need in life is located. You will never find what you are looking for without, but within.
