One Tree Hill Announces New Characters for Season 7

Season 7 of One Tree Hill will start on August 31, 2009 with the ending episode to air in May 2010. It has now been announced that Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton will not be returning to the show in season 7. Now that we have had our chance to mourn and bid our farewells to our favorite couple, it is time to welcome some new characters to the show.

Hayley's sister, Quinn, will appear on the show in season 7. The Ausiello Flies on Spoiler Junkie confirms that Quinn's role will be played by newcomer Shantel VanSanten. Quinn will come to Tree Hill to mend a broken heart and turn a new leaf.

Word on the streets was that Brian Austin Green was to join One Tree Hill, playing the character of Clayton, Nathan's basketball agent. As of last week though, he has decided to pass on the part; deciding One Tree Hill isn't for him. Robert Buckley, formerly on Lipstick Jungle and Privileged, has been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter on Spoiler Junkie to play the new character of Clayton.

We will have to patiently wait to see who they cast as Brooke's supermodel for Clothes Over Bros.

As of now, we do know that Brooke's love interest, Julian, played by Austin Nichols, has signed on as a One Tree Hill regular for the next two years. So it looks like Brulian's little love affair will be long-lasting, do we see wedding bells in the near future?

Spoiler blogs are also hinting that One Tree Hill may come back one year later, not as dramatic as four years later, but they do have to mend the story line to successfully rid Chad and Hilarie from our minds.

Keep watching for more updates.
