One Tree Hill Season Eight Spoilers

One Tree Hill has been renewed for another season, much to the excitement of fans who were left with a cliff hanger of a season seven finale. At the end of season seven, Brooke was engaged to Julian and planning a wedding, Nathan and Hayley were pregnant, and Clay and Quinn were both shot by Katie, the psychotic tennis player who looks like Clay's dead wife. Now with One Tree Hill returning for at least one more season we will see what becomes of our beloved characters.

According to Robert Buckley, who plays Clay, told EOnline that series creator Mark Schwahn isn't ruling out a Lucas/Peyton return. What a perfect time for Peyton and Lucas to return, with Brooke and Julian's wedding, Nathan and Hayley's pregnancy, and the unknown fate of Clay and Quinn. However, several blogs, including WikiAnswers say that Lucas and Peyton will not return in season eight. Mainly due to the fact that Chad Michael Murray is not readily available to shoot an episode. WikiAnswers did say that Hilarie Burton still resides in the Wilmington, NC area, where she runs her business. So there is a possibility of a guest appearance from Burton, but it seems unlikely that Mark Schwahn would only bring back Burton since the audience would rather see the Lucas/Peyton duo. Hopefully fans will see more of an explanation of Lucas and Peyton leaving Tree Hill in season eight, since the writers seemed to have dodged the reasoning behind their move.

Robert Buckley, who plays Clay, told EOnline that his character would be returning to the show in season eight. He didn't specify whether his character would be of the living flesh or as a ghost of the spiritual world; he did say that Clay would suffer a chest wound. Buckley also said that he hoped his character would get his feet grounded and have some quality quiet time with Quinn after such a rough year. He didn't mention the severity of Quinn's gun shot wound, but from the hopes he has for his character, it sounds like Clay and Quinn will survive and hopefully have a quiet, happy season together.

Season eight of One Tree Hill will focus on how the characters will define their lives, how they will choose to overcome the obstacles that come their way, and how they will embrace their families and friends with laughter and love. The characters of One Tree Hill have all pursued their life long dreams and they all have become very accomplished in their fields. Now is the time for them to settle down and start their families - Nathan and Hayley are pregnant with their second child, Brooke and Julian are planning their wedding, Quinn and Clay will be the next to walk down the aisle, and Lucas and Peyton married and drove off into the sunset. One Tree Hill has become a family oriented drama, straying from the high school drama of dating, sex, and parties. The characters have grown and the fans of One Tree Hill have been blessed with one more season to watch their favorite characters continue flourish.

One Tree Hill is set to premiere September 14, 8/7c. Yes, that's right, One Tree Hill has moved to Tuesday nights for the eighth season.
