Seven Crock-Pot Desserts to Make Your Family Drool

What's better than a hot, quick and easy Crock-Pot dinner? A hot, quick and easy Crock-Pot DESSERT! With the cold weather season fast approaching it's time to bring out all of those Crock-Pots that have been sitting in storage just waiting for you to enjoy them again. We all know that you can make great meals in your Crock-Pot, but did you know that you can also make fabulous desserts? Here are seven delicious desserts to compliment any meal. That's a week of desserts to make your family drool!

1)Apple Pie -

Ingredients:

8 apples, peeled and sliced

1 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

3/4 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter, softened

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups Bisquick, divided

1/3 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons cold butter

Directions:

In a large bowl toss together apples, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Place in Crock-Pot. In another bowl combine milk, softened butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and 1/2 cup Bisquick. Spoon over apples in Crock-Pot. In a bowl, combine remaining 1 cup of Bisquick, cold butter and brown sugar. Cut together until crumbly and sprinkle over apple mixture in Crock-Pot. Cook on LOW for 6 - 7 hours.

2)Coconut Rice Pudding -

Ingredients:

2 cups water

1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Pinch of salt

18 ounces evaporated milk

1 can cream of coconut (14 ounces)

1/2 cup golden raisins

3 egg yolks, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Place water, rice, butter and salt in medium saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat and stir frequently. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Spray Crock-Pot with non-stick cooking spray. Add evaporated milk, cream of coconut, raisins, egg yolks and vanilla to Crock-Pot and mix well. Add rice mixture and stir to combine. Cook on LOW for 4 hours or on HIGH for 2 hours. Pudding will thicken as it cools. Garnish servings with toasted coconut, if desired.

3)Baked Apples -

Ingredients:

6 -8 medium cooking apples, cored

2 -3 tablespoons of raisins

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon, divided

2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

Mix raisins, sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Fill center of apples with this mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon and dot with butter. Place in slow cooker; pour 1/2 cup warm water around apples. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, until apples are tender.

4)Pineapple Upside Down Cake -

*NOTE: a Bread 'n Cake Bake Pan is required for this recipe*

Ingredients:

1 package of pound cake mix (16 ounces)

1/4 cup butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 can pineapple tidbits, drained. Reserve juice. (15 1/2 ounce can)

Maraschino Cherries, halved

Directions:

Prepare pound cake mix according to directions on box, replacing liquid ingredient with reserved pineapple juice. Melt butter and pour into the lightly greased bread 'n cake bake pan. Stir in the brown sugar and spread evenly over bottom of bake pan. Add the pineapple bits and cherries to bottom of pan. Pour in cake batter. Cover the bake pan and place in Crock-Pot. Bake on HIGH for 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours. Once cake is done, remove from Crock-Pot and immediately invert onto a large serving dish.

5)Peach Crisp -

Ingredients:

1 1/3 cup uncooked old fashion oats

1 cup sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

2/3 cup buttermilk baking mix

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 lbs fresh peaches, sliced (about 8 medium peaches)

Directions:

Spray Crock-Pot with non0stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine together all ingredients until mixed well. Pour mixture into Crock-Pot and cook on LOW for4 - 6 hours or on HIGH for 2 - 3 hours.

6)Chocolate Cake -

Ingredients:

1 package of chocolate cake mix, about 18 ounces

1 cup sour cream

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup water

4 eggs

3/4 cup vegetable oil

1 package instant chocolate pudding mix, a 4-serving size package

Directions:

Spray Crock-Pot with non-stick cooking spray. Add all ingredients to Crock-Pot and mix well. Cook on LOW for 6 - 8 hours or HIGH for 3 - 4 hours. Serve warm. Can be served with ice cream for a decadent treat.

7)Berry Bread Pudding -

Ingredients:

6 cups sourdough bread, cut into 3/4 - 1 inch cubes

1/2 cup slivered almonds

1 cup raisins

6 large eggs, beaten

1 3/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

3 cups sliced fresh strawberries

2 cups fresh blueberries

Directions:

Spray Crock-pot with non-stick cooking spray. Mix in bread, nuts and raisins. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon. Pour egg mixture over bread mixture and stir to mix well. Cook on LOW for 4 - 4 1/2 hours or on HIGH for 3 hours. Allow bread pudding to cool before serving.

    I was looking for a crock pot apple crisp recipe but realized, at 4:00 it's just too darn late for tonight. I'm trying the apple pie tomorrow.

    sounds great! my crock pot caught on fire (Rival brand) and they are replacing it-- I may make these if I am brave enough to plug the new one in! :-) I am sure that I will... I love to cook in the crock pot. I just won;t be leaving my house with it on.
