One Wish

Some learned men say people formed
From apes that time forgot.
Why are apes still HERE, then?
Are they PEOPLE yet?
They're NOT!

Some people like to live their lives
Like God has never been,
And yet, they'll meet Him face to face,
And answer for their sin.

They do not see destruction
At the end of life's short path,
Nor do they understand the pain
Of suffering God's Wrath.

If I had just one wish to make
That I knew would come true,
I'd wish for world salvation
And hearts so pure and new
That none would ever perish
In the fiery pits below,
But most of man is bound for flames.
The Bible tells us so.

God wants to be acknowledged,
And worshiped, and obeyed.
It's one way we can thank Him
For the price of sin He paid.
